UK Border Agency launches improved website
04 September 2011
The UK Border Agency has relaunched this website with an improved homepage and structure, bringing together all the agency's online content for the first time and providing a better service to applicants and partners in the UK and overseas.
This website has now been integrated with our Visa Services website and most of the 200 country websites which have been hosted by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and our commercial partners overseas. The remaining country websites are due to be brought into this website by the end of September.
We have tested the new integrated website with applicants both overseas and in the UK, and with sponsors. The findings have informed our new homepage and navigational structure.
Our new Visas and immigration section contains detailed information about all of the UK's immigration categories for non-European nationals. For each category, you can find:
- the eligibility requirements
- a guide to the supporting documents that you should provide with your application
- application forms for use inside and outside the UK
- application fees inside and outside the UK
- links to information about the application process in your country
Commonly used web pages on the old Visa Services website have now been moved to the following pages:
- Where to apply
- Visa application guides
- Guidance for visitors
- Guidance for Tier 4 students
- Apply for a visa online using Visa4UK
- Do I need a visa?
- Photo guidance
- Visa processing times
- Visa fees
- Appeals
The website continues to provide guidance for UK employers, education providers and the transport industry, and information for the public about UK immigration policy and the agency's work.
